Released Date : 30/11/2024 11:16
LRT Hengqin Line will officially open on December 2, providing residents and travelers a comfortable and quick travel option to the Macao Port Zone of the Hengqin Port, facilitating both residents and travelers to use Hengqin Port, and closely connecting Macau and Hengqin.

On the opening day, the first train will depart from the "LRT Hengqin Line Lotus Station" at 1:11 PM. Passengers can arrive early at the station, and should follow the instructions from the staff to take the train in an orderly manner. The total travelling time of the line is about 2 minutes, and trains frequency is about 6 minutes.

With the official opening of the LRT Hengqin Line, the fare calculation will still be executed according to the Chief Executive's Dispatch No.188/2023 published in the Macao Special Administrative Region Official Gazette. The sea-crossing section will need to be considered as two stations when calculating the number of stations, which involve the section between Hengqin Station and Lotus Station, (adding one station to the fare calculation), similar to the earlier situation with the sea-crossing section between the Barra Station and Ocean Station.

LRT Hengqin Line is about 2.2 km in length and consists of 2 stations: "Lotus Station" and "Hengqin Station". Passengers who need to cross at Hengqin Port to the mainland can take the train from "Lotus Station" of "Hengqin Line", passing through a underwater tunnel under the Shizimen Waterway, arriving at "Hengqin Station" which is located underground in the Macao Port Zone of Hengqin Port. After leaving the station via elevators or escalators, passengers can easily walk to the departure hall.
Travelers arriving in Macao can also take the "Hengqin Line" and transfer at "Lotus Station" to the "Taipa Line" to various locations in Macao.

With the official opening, the LRT Hengqin Line will provide residents and travelers another convenient and efficient travel option to and from the Hengqin Port, aiding Macao's integration into the one-hour living circle of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
