LRT Taipa Line increases frequency and trains for high-traffic increased passenger flow

Released Date : 30/09/2024 18:32
At around 1.30 pm yesterday, a train at East Asia Games Station encountered a signal failure, causing the LRT Taipa Line service to be suspended. After an emergency investigation, limited service was resumed between Ocean and Barra Stations to minimise the impact on passengers. After LRT staff investigated all the faults and removed the train stuck on the track, LRT service gradually resumed to normal at around 4:00 pm on the same day. The exact cause of the incident has yet to be investigated and LRT apologises for the inconvenience caused to passengers.

Macao LRT will still open for free on 1 October and will enhance its operation during the National Day holiday. We hope to provide a quality experience for passengers by ensuring their safety.
