Taipa Line service suspended due to a power supply system failure

The service of LRT Taipa Line was suspended at around 8 p.m. today (25th) due to a power supply failure. Free shuttle buses were arranged to take passengers to and from the line and the LRT service resumed gradually at 8:53 pm.

At approximately 8:00 pm, a power supply system failure occurred between Ocean and Taipa Ferry Terminal station, staff immediately took follow-up action and removed a train which was stranded between MUST and Airport Stations. Some passengers evacuated from cabins, while free shuttle buses were arranged to travel between Ocean and Taipa Ferry Terminal stations for passengers. By 8:53 p.m., the LRT service of the Taipa Line was gradually restored to normal.

The cause of the incident is still under investigation. We apologise to all passengers for any inconvenience caused.
