East Line
Aiming at complementing urban development and facilitate community integration, as well as enriching and strengthening Macao’s existing public transport networks, the Macao SAR Government intends to construct the East Line of Light Rapid Transit System (LRT) which will connect the Macao Peninsula and Taipa.

The initial plan of LRT East Line is expected to have 6 stations with a total length of about 7.7 km. The north part of the East Line is set to run from the neighboring area of Border Gate and passing through the coastline in front of the Avenida Norte do Hipódromo and the Avenida da Ponte da Amizade to the New Urban Zone A. Extending south along the central greenway of the New Urban Zone A, the East Line then across the sea to connect the New Urban Zone E at Taipa. The New Urban Zone E station will connect the existing Taipa Ferry Terminal Station of LRT Taipa Line.
